Boy was it HOT!
BOY,WAS IT HOT!!!
You are supposed to say, How hot was it! Get with the program here!!
It was so hot 1/3 of Doodle's water was gone!!!!
There are crystalized shapes vmdhee;jrojgf'sall over the empty space.
I guess the evaporation also had something to do with the death of the nematodes. They are everywhere.
At least the Annelids have returned to the ferns. They are vigorously feeding on something yellowish--brown. Dr Mcfarland wasn't exactly sure what it was!
Spyrogyra are in abundance now.
There are also Phacus(Eugenoid) in some of the strangest places.
Rolf now has an extended family. There are many small rotifers around.
I'm not sure how much longer Doodle could survive the way she is. There are places in the greens that are completely empty of green.
The Eutricularia Dr. Mcfarland added has developed a large leaf shaped trapping mechanism.
The strangest thing is on the side. It looks like a tube shaped cluster.
It could be Doodle art! Or maybe it's just graffitti left by the Nemotodes!!!
What was that????
I was looking at the artwork and suddenly something flew by!!!
A very very very large Water mite is speeding past, maybe that is what has taken a BITE out of the population.
Streeetch had me a little concerned tonight. I couldn't find him. After a bit of searching I found him. He has doubled in size again!!!!
I counted his sections, there are 15 joints in his body and he has very long flagella at his rear end. Is this where I should be worried about where Dr Mcfarland puts him?
What if he gets back to the pond at UT Medical Center and keeps up this growth pattern~~~~
We could be looking at another Loch Ness right here in East Tennessee!!!!
Ya think?
I had to say a tearful goodbye to all my new friends.
They will be missed.
I will be watching the News Sentinel for reports of a new Nessie!!!!
This has been a lot of fun for me and I think in spite of myself I may have learned something.
So long, farewell, sorry already done that!!!
See you next time in blogger heaven!!
Lynne
